Dinner is Served: The Mother’s Day Tribute of Milagrosans to All Nanay Marias

MAY 12, 2010, Wednesday | Shakey’s Pizza Restaurant @ 2nd Level of Market! Market!

Naging busy ang lahat sa kaliwa at kanang kampanya for our Emmanuel Partylist at lalong lalo na sa First Automated Election sa Pilipinas kaya naging Post-Mother’s Day Special ang tribute ng mga Milagrosans sa ever supportive and number 1 fan nila, ang loves na loves naming mga Nanay Maria. Many were texted but 4 came (hehe). Apo Maria Olivia, Apo Maria Raymunda and Apo Maria Zenaida were not able to come due to unavoidable circumstances. But as what they say, the dinner must be served.

Market! She lives just a ride away from Market! Market!). Then Hija Michaella Pacis, Community Head of Makati came followed by Hija de Maria Ethel Saludo, Executive Assitant Secretary 1. Sila Nanay Maria Cerela at Nanay Maria Urbana ang sumunod na dumating who were escorted by our Executive Vice Chairman for the Internal Affairs, Querubin Rafael “GR”. Buzzer beater si Hija de Maria Shella May Rivera, our Executive Treasurer. Hehe. Ako itong nagsusulat now, ang inyong Executive Chairman, si Querubin John Albert Dupaya Gurtiza.

May dalawa akong imports na kasama (nilibre ko sila ha), sila Hija de Maria Maricel De Castro of Toka 8 at Querubin Kent Jhun Notarte of Toka 9.

Before ang dinner, we were about to buy flowers for our Nanay Maria. Can you believe that a dozen of roses, unarranged pa ha, costs 380 pesos?!

So we dined at Shakey’s. We bought a Chocolate Heaven Cake of Red Ribbon to sweeten the night.

Just to let you know, the Execs answered their own plate for the dinner. The dinner will not be possible without the help and generosity of our ever-supportive District Chairmen. We did all of these for our Nanay Maria (and I know all Milagrosans will surely agree with me) they deserve a break. Siguro hindi natin sila palaging naaappreciate but believe me, there are lots of things we must appreciate sa mga Nanay Maria.

To all Nanay Marias, thanks for sharing your time, hearts and resources with us. We love you.

Let me end this post with one of my most loved verses from the Bible which was lifted from Kawikaan 6: 20-21 (MBB): “Aking anak, utos nga ng ama mo ay sundin, huwag mong tatalikdan, turo ng inang giliw.

Here are some pics we took during the dinner. Until the next dinner! We do read and appreciate your comments.
